There is also a walkway that leads to river walkways, and a short walk to the Hamilton Gardens. There is bus stops right outside the house, and the free Orbitor bus that can goes all over Hamilton can be boarded a short walk away. Ony 2 houses away is a large block of shops which includes 2 takeaways (Chinese/fish and chips and Indian), a bakery, an op shop, a dairy, a superette (a large dairy with almost supermarket prices), a liquor store, and a large shop similar to a $2 shop. The hospital is also close by, as is the Hamilton Lake and Café. Town is only 5 minutes away by car, as is Wintec (Waikato Institute of Technology), and the University is approximately 10 minutes by car.
